Ted's Pepper Butter

Over 30 years ago my parents were given a pepper butter recipe. To this day I can't remember if it was from a cook book or from the Amish country in northern Ohio.  Nevertheless we enjoyed it but, they felt that it could be better. So, they began making changes to it over the next several years till it became their own perfected pepper butter recipe. My father continued making it for family and friends a couple of times each year till it became somewhat known in the Athens area.  When he passed I decided that we needed to not only carry on his recipe, because it is so amazing, but also to carry on his memory.  That is why every jar has him on it and the love for him in it.  His pepper butter was and is so delicious that we had to make sure that everyone got to enjoy it.  So, since not everyone likes spicy things and some like it a little hotter we took his recipe and made some with bell pepper so that you get all of the flavor with none of the heat and another with jalapenos so that it would satisfy the other side. Once you pop open and try it you won't stop thinking what else can I put this on!
